Jobs large and small examples include: Home building, basement development, frost walls, barns, design and building decks, stairs, retail construction, hire and supervise crews as needed, set up jobs, safety oversight, material ordering and ensuring that jobs are completed on time. All jobs involved setting up, materials estimation, on-going construction and completion with minimum disruption and maximum courtesy and consideration to homeowners or company personnel.
Crew Leader, Dallyn Construction, Calgary, Alberta 1994-2001
Building of complex roof structures on luxury homes.
Overseeing of all aspects of blueprint reading, layout and assembly, organization and supervision of two to four workers. Built and completed many custom homes working independently while keeping a rigorous and demanding schedule. Examples include: Viceroy Homes (post and beam chateau style homes), Fancy Shacks (high-end custom homes), New Horizon, New Castle and McKee Homes (standard home models).
Framer and Carpenter, Dryad Construction Ltd, Alberta 1995
Overseas construction in Diedersdorf, Germany.
Assigned to organize, assemble and erect Nascor Pre-Fabricated Condominiums. Managed two other crew members and was responsible for locating, transporting and then matching numbered building sections which were then assembled. Exterior and interior wall specialization with preparation, reinforcement, pouring, finished footings, foundations and grade slabs. Included in this job was assistance in surveying foundation and grade levels for excavation.

Apprenticed for three years and taught by a third generation carpenter.
My instructor was thorough and demanded correct building methods. These techniques have benefited me greatly and have given me a solid foundation on which I have built my career and reputation as a master builder.
